The building, mainly intended for apartments, stands on Via Corbetta, a narrow street that rises towards the central Piazza Garibaldi in Cantù. The body of the building is raised above street level by a tall plinth that follows the rising course of the street. This plinth, rooted in the city, incorporates commercial activities and the entrance to the building, which is gained across terraced levels. The main entrance to the building is located in the centre of the plinth and opens onto an atrium well lit by a light passing from side to side. The cladding of the plinth, faced with white marble, forms a terrace, while the body of the apartments laid out on four levels plus an attic is set back from the base, determining the private dimension of the residence. In the initial project on the fourth floor there was once a hotel and the attic, which is further set back so lightening the volume, was intended as an open floor for a restaurant. The vertical distribution system consists of two cores with a double flight staircase and an elevator. On each residential floor there are four apartments, each with views on two sides. The character of the facade derives from the plaster finish painted white, completed by a plinth of marble slabs. The wooden door and window fittings show some variations in the positioning of some windows both on the west side and along Via Corbetta: in some cases they are set back from the façade, both with embrasures and through loggias and balconies. Along the west facade there are projecting balconies, while along the front on Via Corbetta there are loggias in addition to the large terrace on the first floor and the attic floor. The parapets have a metal structure and a red square metal mesh. A pitched roof completes the volume.
